Objective/Summary

This article describes how to resolve the [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] error when running the velocity_env example (located in ts _scriptExamples at https://support.spirent.com/SpirentCSC/SC_KnowledgeView?id=DOC10791)

Environment/Versions

Velocity

Procedure

velocity_env.py is a script that performs REST API requests on Velocity instance. These requests attempt to verify SSL certificates on the instance.
There are two ways to make the script work:
1. modify the script by adding the argument verify=False as in the screenshot below; this will skip certificate verification

OR
2. install the SSL certificates on both of your iTE and Velocity instances. Instructions on how to do that are described in Deployment Guides (section 'Configure an SSL key and certificate').
